PERMANENT MAKEUP
Permanent Makeup is arguably the most positive and life-changing cosmetic treatment available within the beauty industry today. Permanent Makeup can help you regain confidence by restoring features lost or compromised due to the ravages of time or illness, making a real and positive life-changing difference to the way that you look and feel! Permanent Makeup closely imitates perfectly applied conventional makeup on the brows, eyes and lips, offering a great alternative to the tedious daily makeup application routine! Also known as Cosmetic Tattooing, Micro-Pigmentation and Permanent Cosmetics, Permanent Makeup involves the artistic implantation of the highest grade hypo-allergenic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin, creating a beautifully natural shape, colour and texture, resembling perfectly applied makeup… day or night!

On arrival you will be asked to compete an in depth consultation form which you will be required to do 20minutes before your appointment. The therapist will go through your form with you as well as discuss your preferences and expectations of the treatment. Your eyebrows will be shaped and drawn in, to your approval as well as choosing a colour. Once you are happy with the shape and colour, we will begin the procedure – which usually takes an average of an hour and a half.
A touch up is always recommended 8-12 weeks after your initial procedure. Clients are advised to give their eyebrows at least a month to see the true healed result. After care instructions will be given to each client to ensure the best healed results possible and must be followed accordingly.
Please note: After the procedure your eyebrows will look perfect as they have been tattooed, the colour will then appear much darker and fuller than the desired result round about day 5, between day 4- 7 they form a scab and start to flake off slightly. Between days 7-9 they will look a little patchy. By day 14 they would have faded quite substantially however, by day 28 the colour would have darkened slightly again. At this stage we can evaluate what touch ups are necessary. The area must be kept as clean as possible to avoid infections or complications. Touching the area should be avoided as well as applying makeup. Exposure to water (showering, swimming, sweating, steam rooms) must be avoided at all costs for the first 7-10 days. Failure to follow after care instructions will result in poor healed results.
The main difference between microblading and shading is the technique itself. Instead of creating individual hair strokes, the microshading artist creates small pin-point dots on the brow area repetitively. This allows the pigment to set better on oilier skin.
